Official release trailer

The Changes to the Graphics

So first of all, and most importantly, the PS5 Pro comes with a new and improved GPU, which is great news for everyone. According to Sony, the latest GPU has 67% more computing units, and not just that, but the memory is also 28% faster in comparison to the GPU on the PS5 model, adding up altogether for a 45% faster gameplay rendering, which makes for an amazing and seamless gaming experience, and with the great performance of the PS5 as is, seeing a 45% percent improvement is something to look up for.

The PS5 Pro also comes with Advanced Ray Tracing, which makes for a more realistic and engaging experience for the players, with more realistic lighting and light physics.

Finally, Sony also introduced Spectral Super Resolution, which uses AI to upscale the animation quality and motion quality with better graphics and at higher framerates, and this all of the previous features combined, you get a great console, with the ability to run games with extraordinary quality, with 8K gaming support, and support higher framerates for other games.

Game Updates and Compatibility

As mentioned by Sony, the PS5 Pro is going to come with free upgrades and software updates to some of the greatest PS titles, which should take those games to a whole new level with the PS5 Pro’s capabilities the titles include Alan Wake 2, Assassin’s Creed: Shadows, Demon’s Souls, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Gran Turismo 7, Hogwarts Legacy, Horizon Forbidden West, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, The Crew Motorfest, The First Descendant, The Last of Us Part II Remastered, and more, and while Bloodborne is yet to be mentioned, everyone still holds out hope for a remaster, and the hopes for the hit game getting it are higher than ever with the demand on a remaster at an all-time high, and the 10th anniversary approaching, so could this be a sign, cause Bloodborne is one of the biggest PS hits ever, and with all those games getting upgrades, it only makes sense that they finally remaster the game so that players can enjoy it at over 30fps for once.

Aside from hit games getting software upgrades and patches, the PS5 Pro comes with PS5 Pro Game Boost, which works just like the previous hit game software upgrades we talked about earlier, however a little more subtle, and it includes over 8,500 backward compatible PS4 games, and makes them playable on the PS5 Pro, with image and quality improvements.

Storage & Price

It seems like Sony finally decided to listen to fans for once, and finally gave us a storage upgrade from the measly 500GBs we get, with the PS5 Pro getting a significant upgrade, coming with 2TBs for storage.

However, All those updates come at a great cost, as the PS5 Pro starts at $699, which a lot of users seem to find expensive for the considerably subtle changes compared to the PS5, and for a lot of users, it seems like an unreasonable price.

Regardless of anything, the updates seem very interesting on paper, and we can’t wait to see users experience the device hands-on, but for now though, stay tuned for more, here at Techexposed, and if you want, be sure to buy us a coffee.
