An update to the Apple Sports app will bring play-by-play information and live scores for NFL and college football games to your iPhone’s lock screen as it gets ready for football season. Now that iOS 18 and watchOS 11 have Live Activities support “for all teams and leagues available in the app for the first time,” you can monitor your team’s results right from the lock screen of your iPhone or Apple Watch.
Next month, Apple Sports will also feature the Europa League and the UEFA Champions League in addition to North American football. The app is also introducing a new “dynamic drive tracker” image to display the ball’s current position on the field for American college and professional football fans.
Apple intends to release a new drop-down navigation menu later this year, which should make it simpler to navigate between the primary scorecard displays. Additionally, a better search function to assist you in locating matches for leagues you aren’t following is being developed.
Since its February release, Apple has been adding support for new leagues, teams, and competitions all year long, like as Major League Baseball and March Madness, to its Sports app.
The Apple Sports app update will bring live scores and play-by-play for NFL and college football to iPhone and Apple Watch lock screens. The app will also cover European leagues and introduce new features like a dynamic drive tracker, improved navigation, and enhanced search functionality.
