Decoder: Niyal Patel and Hanneke Faber discuss the concept

This topic started some drama in the tech community, and soon users discussed it a lot on community platforms such as Reddit thus, the company received lots of backlash because of the device. At last, the company released a statement claiming that the Forever Mouse is nothing but a concept.

The denial of the mouse helped a lot with calming the community, thus giving the internet a break from the discussion and a chance to breathe from all the drama.

Current Stance Regarding the Forever Mouse

For now, the idea of the Forever Mouse seems unlikely as Nicole Kenyon claimed  “the mouse mentioned is not an actual or planned product but a peek into provocative internal thinking on future possibilities for more sustainable consumer electronics.” in an attempt to reassure the consumers and users.

For now, it seems that denying the device solved the issue; however, it provokes another question, how will they make the funds for it? software continuity for devices such as mice and keyboards needs ways to find funds; nevertheless, a subscription shouldn’t be the solution by any means.
