Apple Intelligence is a new set of AI features that Apple has been working on and was expected to release in September with iOS 18’s official launch. But, according to Bloomberg, the expected updates are to be delayed until October and roll out with the new iOS 18.1 and iPad OS 18.1 updates.
The Apple Intelligence features were expected to be released with the iOS 18 and iPad OS 18 updates in September along with the new line of phones, but the update seems to have been delayed to October instead due to Apple wanting to focus on bug fixes instead and make a stable release for the features.
However, we can still get a glimpse of what Apple has in store, as Apple released the iOS 18.1 and iPad OS 18.1 beta versions for developers to use and explore, and even point out any bugs or issues with the update to be fixed before the official release of the features, to ensure a stable update for the consumers.
The only apparent problem with this decision though, according to Mark Gurman, seems to be the fact that the iPhone 16 series, which is supposed to have Apple Intelligence as its main selling point and key feature will be released to the market, without the promised AI features, which might prove to be a problem for Apple during the release.
So far the Apple Intelligence features seem promising and Apple seems to be working hard to ensure the stability of its release to the users, so we hope it all comes together well.
