Why is Black Myth: Wukong seeing so much success?

To those who watched the game trailer and saw the game beforehand, those numbers are no surprise due to how impressive and high-end the graphics and visual effects were. Not only that, but the game also has significant cultural resonance with Chinese gamers, as it is heavily inspired by Chinese mythology, using Sun Wukong, Aka The Monkey King, as its main protagonist, which heavily contributed to its success in China and Asia. Most importantly, as I mentioned before, the game had one of the most impressive game trailers to date, which helped the game accumulate a massive 4M gamers wishlisting the game title on Steam.

Black Myth: Wukong has been performing great so far, and it has shown the incredible prowess of Chinese game developers and will probably even manage to revolutionize most gaming industries. It’s always exciting to see the release of new impressive titles such as Black Myth: Wukong, and even more thrilling to see new game developers in the competition, and we should hopefully be able to see the game earn the title Game of the Year without a doubt.
