Apple introduces new Self-Service Repair Program To Let You Repair iPhones and Macs Yourself.

Apple announced a new self-service repair program that will allow customers to access genuine Apple parts, tools, and manuals to perform their own repairs on select devices, starting with iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 and later versions of Macs with M1 chips. it will be available early next year in the United States and will be rolled out to other countries in 2022.

The first phase of the program will focus on the most important (and breakable) components such as the battery, camera, and display, with other parts coming later as the program expands. Apple will ask customers to consult a repair manual and then order the relevant parts through an online self-service repair store. The company has yet to specify what the costs of the parts are.

It is unknown what led Apple to make this decision, but it is a welcomed one. Receiving lots of praise and support from customers all over the world.
