Do you want the same WhatsApp account on all the devices you have? This could soon be possible, as the messaging platform is apparently testing a feature that would allow its more than two billion users to access the same account on up to four devices at the same time. According to a recent tweet from WABetaInfo, the feature is currently in development.
“Yes, there is the ability to use your WhatsApp account from 4 devices at the same time. In development, but it’s great!” The tweet said.
A screenshot shared with the tweet suggests that WiFi connectivity is syncing data across multiple devices. You can currently access a WhatsApp account from a PC via WhatsApp Web and from a smartphone at the same time.
However, the update left many questions unanswered, such as whether it would work on all platforms. “Would that make switching between iOS and Android easier? At the moment it is extremely difficult to move conversations between the platforms,” asked one user.
“Is it platform compatible? I mean, can I connect the same number from an iPhone and an Android device? “Asked another user.
